Milo Go

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Overview

Milo Go is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. Your data belongs to you.

Data Collection

Milo Go does not collect any data. Specifically:

Location Data

Milo Go uses your device's GPS to record trip routes and distances, including detailed route paths during active tracking. Location data is processed on your device and stored in your Milo data, which syncs through your personal iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) when iCloud is enabled — it is never sent to the developer's servers (we don't operate any) or sold to anyone. Location tracking only occurs when you start a trip or enable automatic trip detection.

When you view trip details, the App may use Apple's MapKit service to convert GPS coordinates into readable addresses (reverse geocoding). These requests are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. No location data is sent to the developer or any other third party.

Subscriptions & Purchases

Milo Go offers optional paid subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. Milo Go does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Subscription status is verified on your device through Apple's StoreKit framework.

Smart Classification

Milo Go learns how you classify trips at specific locations to suggest classifications for future trips. This pattern data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

Data Storage

All trip data, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your data may sync across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure and is protected by your Apple ID credentials. The developer has no access to your iCloud data.

Motion Data

When automatic trip detection is enabled, Milo Go uses your device's motion sensors (via Apple's Core Motion framework) to determine whether you are driving, walking, or stationary. This data is processed entirely on your device to improve trip detection accuracy and reduce battery usage. Motion data is never stored, transmitted, or shared.

Notifications

With your permission, Milo Go may send local notifications to your device. These include optional weekly mileage digest summaries and trip-related alerts. All notifications are generated on your device — no push notification servers or external services are involved. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.

Diagnostic Reports

Milo Go includes an optional diagnostic tool you can use to export app logs for troubleshooting. Diagnostic reports are generated on your device and are only shared if you explicitly choose to export them. No diagnostic data is collected automatically or sent to the developer without your action.

Third-Party Services

Milo Go does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The only external services used are Apple's iCloud for optional data sync and Apple's MapKit for address lookup, both governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

Your data is never shared with anyone. Milo Go does not sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties.

Data Deletion

You can delete any or all of your trip data at any time within the app. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. To remove iCloud-synced data, you can manage your iCloud storage through your device's Settings.

Children's Privacy

Milo Go is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
